Brookwood Drive

The Oakbrook Pines “Neighborhood” was developed around 1980 and issued a State Stormwater Permit at that time, as the developer was creating more than 1 acre of impervious surface. In April of 2024, the current residents of the 32 properties covered by the expired permit received letters from the State indicating they need to comply with the regulations outlined in the 3-9050 permit, which addresses expired permits located in stormwater impaired watersheds.

The City has held a number of meetings with the residents of this neighborhood to help them navigate the permit compliance process and understand the various paths available to them to come into compliance. This neighborhood faces a particularly challenging problem, as they are not organized through a Homeowners Association.
